Oh, hey. Hi there. It's me.
I know I've been gone awhile. There's so much not-at-all-important stuff to catch up on.
I'm going to pay homage to my step-mother's no segue series and do my own no segue post . It's an homage. An homage. Not stealing her idea.
For a few weeks I was missing a belt I had just bought. It was making me crazy! I couldn't find it anywhere. It wasn't very expensive but I knew that it would be hard to replace. I had been looking for the perfect little black belt in the right size for a long time. I kept asking the kids, have you seen it?, have you seen it? Finally Grace suggested that I pray about it. It always works for her! I thought it was a sweet suggestion. She was so earnest about it... I couldn't help but try. The next morning the belt turned up. The first thing Grace said was, "Had you prayed about it??" I was glad I could say yes.
No segue.
There are 181 days until I turn 40. That's all I'm going to say about that.

Today I modeled the dress I'm wearing to my sister's wedding for a friend. She was giving me some advice on a possible alteration. I was short on time and I had to run Grace over to the school for drama club... so when we were done, I threw my clothes on, grabbed the dress and ran out the door. It wasn't until I had walked through the crowded parking lot (at school pickup time) and walked through part of the campus that I looked down and realized that my fly was open. Like wide open.

I'm afraid to admit that Charlie Sheen might really be winning because I can't get the phrase Duh! Winning! out of my head. You can use it ironically, or not. It works. On the other hand, every time I look at Charlie Sheen (which is constantly because I own both a television and a computer), I think about Martin. You never stop being a parent no matter how old your kids are.
No segue.
Tonight I bought a pair of jeggings. That's all I'm going to say about that.

I can't stop thinking about Martin either.
The belt story is funny. She didn't just make the suggestion. She quizzed you about the result. HA.
P.S. I had to google jeggings.
I bought them to go with a pair if riding type boots I've owned for years but couldn't figure out how to wear. Grace said they look really cute... and she's brutally honest with me in this regard.
But still... they're jeggings. Do I dare???
I can't wait to see the dress AND the jeggings!!
YAY, your back!!! love all the "No Segues!" Oh and I need pictures blogged with the Jeggins and the dress. Pronto! :)
